The LG KF600 is something of a revolutionary phone, they have really improved the tochpad technology in this phone. LG Cell phones have added an interact pad in this model which is a touch screen below the main display used for menu navigation.

Design:

At the front of the phone we have 2 display screens, one is the main display which is a 2″ TFT LCD display, it supports 256K colors and a QVGA resolution, the main display could have been better as there are other phones on the market with the same price range that have larger displays. Below the main display we have another LCD display, also known as the interact pad. It has touchscreen capability and is used for navigation purposes. Both the displays have a bad habit of fading in the sun, and it is very difficult to read anything on the displays in direct sunlight. The interact pad also supports hand writing recognition and from what I hear it is really easy to type in Chinese with hand writing recognition . As there are no buttons or navigation keys on the phone, the front of the phone gives a very nice and glassy look. Due to the gloss on the front you will be having a never ending battle with fingerprints and smudges but that is something to be expected from such a phone.

On the left side of the phone we have the volume up and down keys along with the dedicated music key, while on the right side there is the USB port and a dedicated camera key. On the bback of the phone we have a 3 mega pixel camera and an LED flash.

I dont know why but sadly the memory card is not hot swapable and the phone must be turned off to remove the memory card. The dimensions of the phone are 101.2 x 50.7 x 14.1 mm and weighs around 107 grams.

Camera:

The LG KF600 consists of a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus. An LED flash is also avilable. The 3 megapixle camera was expected from a phone like this, of course a 5 mega pixel camera like that of viewty would have increased its price dramatically and I am pleased tha LG did not decide to install a 2 megapixel camera instead of the present 3 MP. The picture quality fo the camera is very decent. It takes great pictures with sharp and precise colors. Noise in the photos is almost non-existant. However the speed of the camera is very dissapointing as it takes almost forever ( roughly 4 to 5 seconds) to store an image.

In terms of video recording the LG cell phone records in QVGA resolution, it also provides other options while recording such as zooming and white balance.

In all the LG KF600 is a unique and wonderful phone, it is so unique in terms of its interface that this may be a problem to some people as it takes some getting used to. So before you buy the phone make sure that you would be able to adapt to the new user interface.

The LG KF750 Secret is member of the LG Black Label Series. This stunningly beautiful LG cell phone will turn heads no matter where you are. Black label series phones have always emphasized on the looks of the phones but they have certainly outdone themselves with the LG KF750.

Design:

LG has designed this phone for fashion consious user who, along with looks wants their phone to have high quality imaging capabilities, excellent connectivity and ton load of other features. The phone has a  2.4″ display of QVGA resolution and having a screen resolution of 240 pixels x 320 pixels. The screen is made from tempered glass which is a scratch resistant glass with a high gloss finish. Below the screen we have neon touch navigation keys which gives out a nice soft blue glow when in use. On the left side of the phone we have a slot for the USB and the headphones while on the right we have the volume up and down buttons, the lock function and the camera key. On the back of the phone is the powerful 5 mega pixel camera along with a flash. As strange as it may sound, the camera is not protected by a lense cover such phones always consists of a lense cover to protect the powerful lens from undesirable scratches.

The phone weighs only 116 grams, its internal memory is 100 MB which is a lot more than the internal memory of other LG cell phones. It supports a MicroSD card and memory can be expanded upto 4 GB. The phone works on GSM tri-band and has 3G functionality which means faster upload and download speeds.

Camera:

The LG KF750 supports a 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus, it also contains face detection, AF assist light and an LED flash. The LG KF750 supports 7 different scene modes for shooting i.e. Auto, Portrait, Landscape, Night, Beach, Sports, and Party. The quality of the photos taken with the camera are excellent and even better than the results of the LG Viewty.

In terms of video recording, it seems that the phone was made for video recording, thast is just how good it is. The camera can record videos in VGA resolution at 30 fps and in QVGA resolution at 120 fps. It also supports recording Fast Videos which is a first for a cell phone. It can record fast videos in only QVGA resolution. The best part is that all the videos are encoded in DiVX Avi format.

We also have a secondary camera at the front of the phone which is used in making video calls.

LG has heard all of our prayers and has finally released a 5 Mega pixel camera that everyone can afford. If you were one of those people that did not want to pay the heavy price tags of those over expensive 5 mega pixel phones such as the Viewty then this phone is for you. The LG KC 550 can be considered to be the toned down version of the viewty and iphone. The only this it is missing is 3G functionality.

Design:

This LG Cell phone consists of a nice 2.4 inch display of 240 x 320 pixels. Such a big screen is a must for a phone having a 5 Mega pixel camera. It adds to the viewing pleasure. Below the screen are a set of well sized navigation keys, we have the typical accept call and end call keys along with the left soft key and right soft key for menu navigation. There is also a backspace or back key located here. The phone is attractive to look at having a black casing with silver finishing.  On the left side of the phone there is a port for headphones and the usb cable while on the left side we have a dedicated camera key, the volume up and down keys and the memory card slot. At the back of the phone we have the star of the phone; the 5 Mega Pixel camera. The camera is protected by a solid metal casing which protects the valuable lens from scratches. Another great feature of this phone is the presence of an accelerometer. The accelerometer can be used to flip the screen orientation from portrait to landscape modes as you rotate the handset, and it can also be used for playing games.

The KC 550 has a 5 mega pixel camera and is the main attraction of the phone. The camera comes with a Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens. The camera has autofocus and and LED flash. The quality of the pictures taken are extremely high and is what can be expected from a 5 MP camera with such a lense, and since the phone has an accelerometer on board, it automatically rotates the images you’ve taken. The phone records videos at a resolution of 720 x 480 pixels at 30 frames per second and the videos recorded are worth watching.

LG announced its latest fashion phone, the KF 510. The KF 510 is without a doubt the finest work of LG. It comes in two colors, Stardust Dark Gray and Sunset Red. LG put a lot of emphasis on the look and feel of this phone so that is where we will begin.

Design:

The phone is constructed mainly of metal and glass and has a full metal finish. On the front of the phone we have a nice display having dimensions 2.2″ 240 x 320 pixel. Below the display are a number of touch sensitive buttons which further adds to the beauty of the phone. When active they emit a soft white or red glow. The touch sensitive buttons were a huge problem in the original chocolate, as they would get pressed by themselves and the phone would perform actions by itself such as deleting of contacts or making a phone call. Hopefully LG realized this and fixed this problem in the KF 510. On the top of the display is a light sensor which allows the KF510’s screen brightness to adjust depending on ambient lighting conditions. The light sensor could easily be mistaken for a front camera.

On the the left of the lg cell phone we have the volume up and down keys whereas on the right we have the port for data cable and charger along with the lock function. The camera appears when the phone is opened which is a good thing since the slider function also serves as the lens cover and protects the lens from undesirable scratches.

Design:

The LG VX8550 is yet another master piece from LG cell phones and is definitely a beauty in itself and is a major upgrade from the first LG Chocolate phone. However it does retain its familiar chocolate bar shape and with the addition of a wonderful glossy look and feel.

In the hand the phone does have a perfect weight and feel, at 3.85 inches tall by 1.87 inches wide by 0.67 inch thick it is a comfortable phone to use for a slider.

Users can accept calls by sliding up the phone and can end calls by sliding down the phone. The slider mechanism moves up and down easily.

At the front of the phone in place of the problematic touch sensitive navigation wheel the designers have placed a shiny, mechanical scroll wheel with a middle selection key. The scroll wheel also has a trace of light emitting from its background which further adds to the beauty of the phone when the scroller is being used. There are four vibrating touch sensitive buttons that respond to a gentle touch with a vibration.

On the left side of the phone users will find the volume up and down keys along with the charger port, whereas on the right side of the phone there exists a port for the MicroSD card and a dedicated music key.

The main problem with this phone is that the glossy finish is a magnet for fingerprints and smudges, users will have to constantly clean the phone in order to keep it smudge free.

The LG Chocolate VX 8550 comes with a 1.3 mega pixel camera, why they would put a 1.3 mega pixel camera in this phone instead of a 2.0 mega pixel camera is beyond me. But even with the 1.3 MP the results are very decent, except in low-lit conditions. The camera shoots in three different resolutions, 1280 x 960 px, 640 x 480 px and 320 x 240 px and can support only a 2x zoom.
